Product Service System Design Project.
Global climate change will affect many infectious diseases, especially the mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue fever. Because of the low resistance of children, Studies predict that the number of children affected by dengue will increase. MOMEN aims at creating a safer environment for children through the Product Service System Design for mosquito-borne infectious diseases prevention.

Design background.
Climate is one of the crucial influence factors of the spread of infectious diseases, meteorologists forecast that by 2100, the average global temperature would rise by 2 ℃. Climate change may cause various effects on human health.
Global climate change will affect many infectious diseases, especially the insect-borne diseases such as dengue fever. As the climate warms, the trend of mosquito-borne infectious diseases will spread from the south to the north.

Plant more than one hydroponic plant
Target users & Opportunity areas.
Based on the field research and interviews, the target users are children studying in kindergartens, and there are three design requirements:
- Kindergartens need better prevention programs.
- Children are at risk of mosquito-borne diseases.
- CDC’s forecasting & warning system need to be improved.

Smart flowerpot
Momen app
Smart flowerpot.
Modular smart flowerpot can be superimposed on-demand, sharing water and potions.
At the front of each module (or each two), there is a UV trap light, a CO2 mosquito attractant, and an unescapable inverted cone hole. The rest are flowerpots.
Momen app.
Momen app has the functions of mosquito-borne disease forecast and warning, feedback, news, first aid guide, and so on. Teachers can get timely information about mosquitoes and diseases through APP. Momen app uses Blynk as the IoT connection platform, users can monitor the mosquito, water level, and water quality through the APP directly.
UV trap light switch
When there is no need to trap mosquitoes, such as plant teaching time, the light can be switched off and stop attract the mosquitoes.
Water level data
The water level sensor monitors the water level. Remind when the water is added to a specific value, or the water level drops to a certain amount.
ADI statistics
The number of mosquito population (ADI) is sent to the Blynk platform, draw a statistical curve, and the historical statistical analysis can be checked.
